How to convert AVI to DVD format

Question 1: “I am looking for a program that will encode an AVI file to DVD format, such as NeroVision Express 2. I have used that exclusively for years but have lately run into a few Xvid files that just won’t work with Nero. I know there were some a few years back but can't remember what they were. Getting old I guess. Anyone know of any?”

Step 2: Select DVD format as output format, and set save path
Click the drop-down list of “Format” to select “VOB Format” firstly, and then choose a DVD format according to your geographical region. Here I select “DVD-Video Format-NTSC (*.vob) for example. Notice that NTSC is a video format used in North America, Central America, Japan, and parts of South America; PAL is the video format used in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, most of Asia, and parts of South America; SECAM is used in Africa, Asia, Pacific Islands, Former USSR, and Americas.

Step 3: Set advanced settings
If you want to adjust audio and video parameters to optimize the output file quality, you can click “Settings” button to do so. All the parameters like codec, aspect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, etc. on the following interface are changeable, and you can adjust them according to your own requirements.

Step 4: Start converting AVI to DVD format
As soon as all the above settings are finished, then you can click “Convert” button to start converting AVI to DVD format.
